Mahakumbh Monalisa Marries Farman Khan After Dramatic Day in ‘Real Kerala Story’ Twist
On Wednesday, Mahakumbh Monalisa and Farman Khan tied the knot at a temple near Poovar in Thiruvananthapuram’s coastal suburb. It was a simple, peaceful ceremony held at 5:45 pm. The couple had sought protection from the police after being strongly opposed by the bride’s parents.
Mahakumbh Monalisa was in Kerala to shoot a movie that marked her much-anticipated entry into the film industry. A sudden family dispute disrupted filming in coastal areas around Vizhinjam, Poovar and other locations.
Sources at Thampanoor Police Station claim that Mahakumbh Monalisa and Khan approached the station earlier in the morning to seek immediate assistance. She claimed that her family tried to forcefully take her home to Indore in Madhya Pradesh and pressurize her to marry a relative. Her relatives were very hostile to the couple’s interfaith relationship, which began on Facebook about 18 months ago. Khan, a Maharashtra native, and Mahakumbh Monalisa told authorities they had united in Kerala partly to avoid facing opposition elsewhere in the country.

After receiving the formal complaint, police called her father, Jai Singh Bhosle. The law enforcement officials stated that Mahakumbh Monalisa was legally eighteen years old and had the right to choose who she wanted to marry or live with.
A quiet temple marriage by the ocean marked a dramatic end to the day. M. V. Govindan was present at the event as the secretary of state of the Communist Party of India. Kerala’s education minister V. Sivankutty shared his views on the union just before the ceremony. He is from a local area close to the temple.
Sivankutty stated, “This is the true Kerala story. People of all backgrounds live together happily and in peace.”
What began as an urgent plea for help at the local police station, by evening, transformed into a celebration of personal choices. The tense dispute between Mahakumbh and her husband eventually gave way to the story of a united family and a fresh start.
