IndiGo Aircraft A321 Tail Strikes Runway At Mumbai Airport

IndiGo Tail Strike: IndiGo Airlines confirmed that an Airbus A321 suffered a rear strike while performing a go-around at low altitude at Mumbai Airport. This manoeuvre was carried out due to poor weather conditions. After landing safely, the airline informed passengers and other stakeholders.

The tail of an IndiGo Airbus A321 touched the runway on August 16, 2025, while performing a low altitude go-around in Mumbai due to adverse weather conditions. The aircraft then made a second approach and safely landed,” an IndiGo spokesperson confirmed.
