Indigo Hyderabad Flight Diversion: Three IndiGo flights scheduled to land in Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Airport were diverted on Friday morning to Vijayawada due to poor weather and visibility caused by the heavy rain that fell across the area.
IndiGo Hyderabad’s flight divert affected travelers from three Indian cities. After circling the airport of Hyderabad for long periods, flights 6E 6148, 6E 6623, and 6E 352 were forced to change destinations.
The RGIA airport authorities confirmed the diversion was necessary because of deteriorating conditions at RGIA that rendered safe landing procedures unachievable. Air traffic control implemented safety protocols after the heavy rains reduced visibility. The IndiGo flight from Hyderabad was diverted to Vijayawada, the closest airport.
