Vande Bharat Sleeper Express Set for Inaugural Launch Soon – Expected Fare And Route
Indian Railways will revolutionize the long-distance journey with the launch of its first Vande Bharat Sleeper Express. The new service will begin its first journey from Delhi to Patna. It is designed for comfort and speed.
The Vande Bharat sleeper express will begin operating before Diwali in 2025. It is a luxurious alternative to overnight travel. This new train will complete the trip between Delhi and Patna via Prayagraj in 11.5 hours. That’s a significant improvement over the current travel times of 12-17 hours. The new train will ease traffic, particularly during the festive season when there is a huge influx of people traveling between Bihar and Uttar Pradesh.
An official from the railway stated that “The Vande Bharat Sleeper Express is equipped with berths and advanced safety systems. It will also feature modern amenities to enhance long-distance traveling.” This service is a reflection of the government’s commitment to improving travel for passengers and modernizing India’s railway network. Interiors have an aeronautical finish to emphasize the emphasis on comfort.
The new Vande Bharat sleeper express is equipped with the latest features, including LED screens for infotainment, automatic doors, and fire safety systems. The train, manufactured by Bharat Earth Movers Limited (BEML), is designed to run at 180 km/h. The Vande Bharat Sleeper Express is expected to have a fare that’s 10-15% more expensive than the Rajdhani Express due to the improved amenities and quicker service.
Indian Railways plans to launch similar Vande Bharat sleeper express on other routes with high demand, including Delhi to Ahmedabad and Delhi to Bhopal. The expansion of this service is part of an initiative by the government to make comfortable overnight trains more available across the nation.
