Pokémon Go Halloween: Where’s Mimikyu?

Pokémon Go’s Halloween: The excitement is growing as Pokémon Go celebrates Halloween for the ninth time. Niantic teased the additions to this year’s Halloween event. However, some fans noticed a glaring omission. Mimikyu, the ideal Pokémon for this spooky time of year, is nowhere to be seen.
Official Pokémon Go accounts on social media recently posted a teaser picture showing nine Pokémon silhouettes. Fans have recognized familiar faces such as Pikachu, Piplup, and Drifblim wearing festive Halloween hats. One Pokémon is missing. Mimikyu is the Ghost/Fairy type that masquerades as Pikachu. It was first introduced to Pokémon Sun & Moon in the year Pokémon Go debuted. Pikachu was given a Mimikyu costume in 2019. However, the disguise Pokémon is yet to appear in the game. Many trainers are wondering when they will finally be able to capture it.
Pokémon Go Halloween Event: What To Expect
The teaser for Pokémon’s Halloween is exciting, even if the lack of Mimikyu disappoints many. Please take a closer look at the silhouettes to see what they suggest about this year’s Halloween festivities.
Noibat Candy is on the Horizon
Noibat is one of the silhouettes that stand out in this teaser. The Sound Wave Pokémon is likely to appear more often during the Halloween Event. It takes 400 candies to evolve Noibat into Noivern’s powerful form. This has taken many players a while. Trainers would welcome an increased spawning rate of Noibat to add Noivern to their collections. The silhouette doesn’t reveal if Noivern is also getting a costume. However, more candy will always be a good thing.

Beary Spooky Party
In the teaser, you can also see Teddiursa wearing a witch’s hat and Ursaring similarly. Ursaluna is the Peat Pokémon that lurks in the background. It could be that Teddiursa in a Halloween costume will become available, and hopefully evolve into an Ursaring. Pokémon Go released stickers featuring Teddiursa dressed in fanciful Halloween clothing. Ursaluna’s presence could also indicate that a more convenient way of obtaining this powerful Pokémon is available during the event. This would be an enormous bonus for trainers.
Prepare for Halloween
Even without Mimikyu, the Pokémon’s Halloween celebration is set to be an exciting event. Trainers will have plenty to do with new costumes to capture and candy to collect. We’ll keep you informed as more information is revealed.
