Chhattisgarh Student Assault: Principal Arrested after Allegedly Assaulting a Nursery Student For “Radhe Radhe” Greeting

Chhattisgarh (India): Police have arrested the principal of a Chhattisgarh school for assaulting and tape-taping a young girl after she greeted her with a traditional Hindu greeting, “Radhe Radhe.” This incident has caused outrage among the community. It occurred at the Mother Teresa English Medium School, located in Bagdumar Village, under Nandini Police Station’s jurisdiction.

According to reports, the victim was a girl aged 3.5 who received physical punishment after saluting her principal, Ela Evenkaulveen. This happened on Wednesday around 7:30 am. Kaulveen allegedly reacted aggressively by slapping and taping the girl’s mouth for 15 minutes. She also subjected her to more physical punishment, according to her family. The child, visibly hurt and distressed, told her parents about the incident when she returned home.

Praveen Yadav filed a formal complaint with the Nandini Police Station. An investigation was launched. The allegations were corroborated by evidence, such as visible marks on her body. On the basis of preliminary findings, police arrested Kaulveen. They also registered a criminal case in accordance with relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code.

ASP Padmashree Tanwar explained the context of the incident. The principal punished the boy for failing to answer a simple question. The actions were unjustified and excessive. Tanwar said that the child was beaten and her mouth taped for nearly 15 minutes.

Many parents and residents are outraged by the incident, while others call for strict action to be taken against the principal. This case has reignited debates about the safety of children, school discipline, and how educational authorities treat young students.

Child rights activists condemned the incident and stressed the importance of teacher training to deal with young children’s behavior. This case highlights the need to create an atmosphere of empathy and respect for children at schools, a local advocate commented.

However, the school administration has yet to issue an official statement about this incident.

The Chhattisgarh case of a student being assaulted has caused widespread concern over the treatment and safety of children within educational institutions. Parents have voiced concerns over unchecked behaviors in schools due to a lack of clear rules and regulations. In the aftermath of this incident, calls for more government involvement and stricter enforcement in schools of the guidelines on child protection are becoming louder.

Police officials say that they are continuing their investigations to make sure justice is done. Police officials and parents are calling on authorities to act quickly to stop future incidents.
