Coimbatore Student Rape Case: The Coimbatore Police arrested three men in connection with the sexual assault of a student at a nearby college. They were under the influence and stole a 2-wheeler prior to committing this heinous act.
Saravana Sundar, the police commissioner in Vellakinaru, confirmed late on Monday night that three suspects were apprehended at their hideout location. Satish, alias Karuppsamy (31), Karthi Kalishewaran (21), and Guna Thavasi (20) have all been arrested. The three men were all employed as lathe workers in the local area.
When the suspects tried to assault the search team of the Coimbatore police during the arrest, the case turned dramatic. Law enforcement officers were able to arrest all three suspects, despite their opposition.
The preliminary reports of the investigation indicate that the three had taken a stolen two-wheeler, consumed alcohol, and then encountered the victim’s male friend and the female near the Coimbatore Airport. Intoxication played an important role in the decision of the three accused to assault the student.
Official sources in Coimbatore’s student rape case confirmed that the police nabbed three of the accused late Monday night from Vellakinaru, where they were hiding. Two are brothers, and one is a relative.
