Opposition has reacted quickly to the viral video featuring the Tamil Nadu Minister. The BJP condemned the video, calling it a “destruction” of Tamil culture as well as a violation of women’s dignity. In a post on social media, the party questioned the ethics of the DMK’s leadership. In its statement, the BJP also expressed concern about women’s safety in the state. They asked how women could ask for help from leaders that “invite women to dance in semi-naked attire and make them clap with enjoyment”.
