Purvanchal Expressway Couple’s Intimate Video Goes Viral; Manager is Accused
A shocking incident occurred on the Purvanchal Expressway in Uttar Pradesh, when a manager at a toll booth was accused of leaking private videos. According to reports, the footage was captured by CCTV cameras and shows an interracial couple having a private moment within their vehicle. The manager has been accused of using the videos to extract money from passengers and then posting them on social networks, raising serious concerns over privacy and safety on expressways.
This incident took place in the Haliyapur Police Station area, where an ATM is installed at the Purvanchal Expressway Toll Plaza. The system is monitored by a CCTV network and overseen by three employees. Ashutosh Sakar, the manager of the system in question, is the subject of these allegations.
Sarkar, according to complaints made by the public, has misused surveillance systems in a systematic way. He allegedly would take videos of newlyweds and couples having intimate moments in their cars on expressways. He would then allegedly demand large amounts of money from these travellers. Victims were forced to pay allegedly because they feared public humiliation. Sarkar has been accused of uploading the videos to social media even after he received payment. At least one video featuring a newlywed couple went viral.

Sarkar’s accusation goes beyond the travellers. In the complaint, it is also stated that Sarkar targeted girls and women from nearby villages. The complaint claims that he recorded them in their everyday routine and threatened to publish the videos. The serious accusations have led to an investigation by the authorities in order to confirm the allegations and punish those responsible.
This incident exposed the vulnerabilities of the system’s security protocols and privacy. The authorities are under increasing pressure to strengthen and review these systems in order to restore trust and prevent further abuses.
