The central body of India announced that there will be a reduction in the excise duty by 8 and 6 rupees on the petrol and diesel per liter respectively. Due to this cutting down in the prices of excise duty the fuel prices will also be decreased. Now petrol is decreased by 9.5rs per liter and diesel is decreased by 7rs per liter. From tomorrow morning new prices will be implemented in India.

There is one more announcement given by the center that there will be a subsidy provided to the beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojna. There is a subsidy of 200rs that will be given to the beneficiaries up to the twelve-cylinder only. This subsidy is probably provided to the nine crore beneficiaries under this Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojna. It will be a huge step because the central government has to bear a great revenue loss after this huge step for its people.

Nirmala Sitharaman Tweet

Indian Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman tweeted on Saturday 21, 2022. In her tweet, she said “We are reducing the Central excise duty on petrol by ₹8 per liter and on diesel by ₹6 per liter. This will reduce the price of petrol by ₹9.5 per liter and of diesel by ₹7 per liter. It will have a revenue implication of around ₹1 lakh crore/ year for the government.

Nirmala Sitharaman tweeted “Also this year we will give a subsidy of ₹200 per gas cylinder (up to 12 cylinders) to over 9 crore beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojna. This will help our mothers and sisters. This will have a revenue implication of around ₹6100 crores a year. #Ujjwala”

This deduction will give relief to the common man’s life and it will directly give impact the pocket of the common man. This reduced price will also impact inflation.
