Blogger Spends ₹4 Lakh on Air India Business Class, Complains of Dead Flies in Flight

A viral video on social media has shown a dissatisfying experience in Air India business class, sparking a discussion about the standards of premium travel. Pavitra Kour, popular content creator and The Classy Foodophile, posted the viral video about her experience on an ultra-long-haul flight from Delhi to San Francisco. She encountered dead flies, broken seats, and other issues despite having paid a premium fare.

Many travellers dream of flying business class. Many passengers look forward to the extra room, delicious food and comfort of long-haul international flights. Most people are not concerned with just reaching their destination, but rather the overall experience. Expectations are high, especially on long routes such as Delhi-San Francisco. If someone is spending lakhs of dollars on a flight, then they want it to be smooth and premium. The viral video Kaur shared paints a very different picture of her recent trip.

Kaur said in her viral review that the flight was “like a six on ten” because of all the problems she encountered. First, Kaur’s seat was a bad gate. Even after the cabin crew shifted it to the next seat, there were still problems. She was clearly frustrated with the inability to use the seat, and said, in a viral video: “I paid what?” This cost over Rs 4 lakhs.”

The viral video also brought up the issue of cleanliness. Pavitra questioned the basic standards of hygiene at the airline. She asked, “Why?” and questioned basic standards. Why? “Why?” was asked regarding the condition of the cabin. The viral video shows her claiming that there are “literally two dead flies on her seat”. This detail has been shocking to many of those who have seen it.

Also, the culinary experience was criticized. Pavitra described the food as “decent” but nothing she could rave about. The main course was good, and the appetizer was “okay.” But the desserts were the worst part of the trip.

Pavitra, the food blogger, sounded disappointed as she stated, “It must have been the first time I did not eat. She even left her dessert unattended.” Her viral video review stated that the fruit was too dried and the mousse was “really bad.” She also said the champagne was nice.

The long trip had some positives despite the negatives listed in the viral videos. Pavitra missed breakfast as she fell asleep. In a sense, it was a good thing because she said she had “slept well,” which is essential on a flight of this length. She said that she was comfortable and the seats allowed her to sleep well.

Pavitra, the vlogger, concluded with the resigned statement, “But yeah, that’s Air India.” Pavitra explained that, despite all of the complaints regarding hygiene and the food, the flight was better than she expected. She told her fans that there were no alternatives, so they had to accept this route. The viral video has continued to be shared, sparking debates about the quality of airline tickets.
