Dehradun Cloudburst: IT Park and Houses Submerged After Heavy Rain

Dehradun Cloudburst: A strong cloudburst in Dehradun on Monday night caused severe flooding. Houses in Tapovan were submerged and waterlogged in Sahastradhara, IT Park, and other areas. Authorities have begun a massive rescue and relief effort following the flooding and heavy rains. Two people are currently missing.

Dehradun’s cloudburst caused a huge overflow of the Karligaad river, causing severe damage to the region. Intense and constant rain caused the river to surge dangerously. This led to the collapse and extensive damage of properties on its banks. As a precaution, residents in the worst-hit areas were evacuated to safer places.

The Sahastradhara Cloudburst has been confirmed as having a destructive effect by officials. A local official said that the cloudburst, followed by the massive flooding of the Karligaad river, caused serious destruction to the area. Rescue teams work tirelessly to control the situation and to provide assistance to the victims of the flash flooding.
