‘Dhanush Mrunal Thakur Wedding’ Video Goes Viral, Fact-Check Reveals AI-Generated Clip

A Dhanush and Mrunal Thakur wedding video went viral recently. This led many internet users to speculate whether they had secretly married. This video has circulated widely across social media and claims the two actors were married on January 22, in Chennai, in a tradition ceremony. The video was not authentic and was created by artificial intelligence.

Dhanush and Mrunal Thakur wedding video is a traditional South Indian wedding. Dhanush is wearing a white veshti with gold borders, paired with an identical shirt. Mrunal Thakur looks gorgeous in a maroon-coloured saree. In the video, you can also see the likes of Thalapathy, Dulquer, Ajith, and other film stars. The purported event also features other notables, including music composer Anirudh Ravichander as well as actresses Trisha and Shruti Hassan.

Social media users quickly pointed out that the viral wedding video of Dhanush and Mrunal Thakur is a fake, even though it appeared to be realistic. The presence of Ajith is one of the main pieces of evidence that the video was AI-generated. Fans noted that Ajith had been in Dubai at the time the alleged wedding took place. This made his appearance impossible.

The digital fabrication is amidst an upsurge of rumors about the status of their relationship. In early February, rumors were rife about the two actors planning to marry on Valentine’s Day (February 14) in a ceremony that would be attended by only close friends and family. The reports created quite a stir amongst fans and likely contributed to their rapid distribution.

Sources close to the stars have, however, firmly denied these rumors. A source with close ties to the actors clarified to the media the status of rumors before the fake video was released. Insider: “Mrunal will not be getting married in the next month.” It is just a rumor that spreads without any reason. The viral video is a complete fabrication.

This deepfake’s circulation highlights AI’s growing sophistication and its ability to spread false information. Media outlets and fans are encouraged to check facts before sharing content. The video does not contain any truth, as both actors are continuing to work on their professional careers.
