Mumbai Bomb Threat: Patna Man Busted for Terror Text ‘400Kg RDX’ to Noida Police

Mumbai Bomb Threat – Noida police arrested a man aged 50 from Patna for allegedly sending a message to Mumbai Police claiming Pakistani terrorists entered the city carrying 400kg of RDX as part of Ganesh Festival celebrations. Mumbai is preparing for Anant Chaturdashi – the last day of Ganesh Chaturthi’s 10-day festival.
Ashwinikumar Sureshkumar Supra is an astrologer from Patna who allegedly sent the message on WhatsApp to Mumbai’s traffic police helpline. In the message, 14 Pakistani terrorists claimed to have entered Mumbai in 34 vehicles with 400 kg of RDX. They threatened “to kill 1 crore people”.
Mumbai’s bomb threat forced the police to go on high alert while they made security plans for the culmination of the festival. Supra switched off his phone immediately after sending the bomb threat, but was tracked and arrested in Noida Sector-79 by local intelligence and surveillance. CCTV footage from a grocery store also helped.
Coordinated efforts by Mumbai and Noida Police forces made it possible to make the arrest. Mumbai Police Joint Commission CP Rajiv Narayan Mishra contacted Noida Police Commissioner Laxmi Sing for help in this case. The Special Weapons and Tactics Team was formed in order to capture the suspect, who was then handed over to the Mumbai Police.
Another person from Sorakha was arrested for providing his SIM to the principal accused in order to transmit the Mumbai bombing threat message. Supra and his wife are reportedly separating, according to sources.
Mumbai Police said earlier that the message sent by the unknown sender contained the name of a group called “Lashkar-e-Jihadi”. Traffic police received bomb threats in the past. No need to panic. There is no need to panic. Security at important locations has been stepped up, and combing operations are in progress. “Mumbaikars should not believe rumors, and instead report suspicious activities,” said an officer on Friday.
The Anti-Terrorism Squad also received information about Mumbai’s bomb threat. The message appears to be a hoax at first glance, but police have conducted a detailed investigation by using technical analysis in order to find the origin of the message.
A case has been registered against the suspects at the Worli Police Station under sections 351 and 3, 4 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (criminal incitement). The police are taking all precautions due to the high number of people expected during the immersion ceremony on Saturday.
Mumbai has deployed more than 21,000 officers to ensure law and order is maintained during the idol immersions. The final celebrations will see thousands of people immerse idols in the water, sea, and artificial ponds to bid farewell to Lord Ganesh.
