Noida Dowry Murder Case: The Accused was Shot While Trying to Escape

The police shot the man in the leg after he tried to flee custody in the Greater Noida Dowry Murder Case. This incident happened just one day after the arrest of Nikki, his wife, aged 28. The case brought to light the issue of violence related to dowry in the area.

In Sirsa Village, Greater Noida, a tragic tale unfolded where Nikki, her husband, and family allegedly set Nikki on fire. This horrific incident occurred because the family was demanding Rs 35 lakh in dowry, but they did not receive it.

The First Information Report indicates that the complaint was made by Nikki’s sister, Kanchan. Kanchan is married to the accused’s brother and lives at the same address. Kanchan claimed that the family tortured both of her sisters over their dowry requests.

In the FIR, details are given of what happened on August 21, a terrifying day. Kanchan reported to the police that on August 21, at around 5:30 pm, Vipin and his family, Daya, Satyaveer and Rohit, had poured a flammable liquid over my sister, setting her ablaze and causing her death. Kanchan rushed to Fortis Hospital, but because of the severe burns on her sister, they referred her to Safdarjung Hospital, Delhi. Nikki died tragically on her way to the hospital.

Noida Police arrested Vipin Bhati after he filed a complaint. Nikki’s in-laws, Daya, Satyaveer and Rohit, have also been charged.

A Shot to the Leg during Escape Attempt

On Sunday, the case took a new turn. As part of their investigation into Greater Noida’s dowry killing, police officials said that Vipin Bhati had been taken to be recovered. Bhati is said to have attempted fleeing during this time.

Sudhir Kumar explained the circumstances. Bhati had tried to grab a gun from a police officer in order to flee. In the fight that ensued, Bhati was shot in the leg by the police to stop him from running away. The police took him to a hospital for treatment. The case is now even more complex.

Outrage has been generated by the shocking nature of this dowry killing in Greater Noida. Families of the victim, as well as other citizens concerned with the case, gathered in front of Kasna Police Station to demand a full investigation. The group expressed their fears about possible lapses in the investigation.

Police have assured both the public and the family that this case will be handled seriously. The husband/accused of the deceased has been arrested. The police have formed teams to arrest all the other suspects. A police statement confirms that the arrest of other suspects will take place soon. The family, along with the protestors, were happy after discussions with police officers who assured them of a thorough investigation. They left the station. The search for three missing family members is continuing.

Nikki’s Justice is Awaiting

The Greater Noida Dowry Murder Case is a grim example of violence women still face because they demand dowry. The victim’s family is waiting for the arrest of other members of the family. Community members are watching the case closely in hopes that justice will be served for Nikki and that a message will be sent that these brutal crimes will not go unpunished. As the investigation continues, more information is expected as police work to hold all responsible accountable.
