Payal Gaming Viral Video: Maharashtra Cyber Cell Arrests Accused After 19 Minute Viral Video Surfaces
The Maharashtra Cyber Department apprehended and arrested the person responsible for a malicious AI-generated video that popular Indian gaming influencer Payal Gaming circulated. Abhishek Jhadhav has been charged with defaming Payal Dhare (also known as Payal Gaming) through a video which went viral on social media.
This incident revolves around a 19-minute controversial video, which was released in 2025 and falsely labelled as “Payal Gaming Dubai leaked.” This video, with its vulgar content, quickly spread online and caused severe damage to the influencer’s reputation. Payal Gaming clarified immediately that the video is a hoax and that it was created by advanced AI deepfake software. She also stated that she wasn’t the one featured in the video.

Payal Gaming took swift action to stop this cybercrime and filed a formal complaint with the Maharashtra Cyber Cell. Payal Gaming stated that these fabricated videos not only cause defamation but also immense mental trauma. Payal Gaming made a powerful statement via her social media, describing the act in question as “disgraceful” and “inhuman”, bringing to light the dangers of technology misuse. A FIR has been registered in accordance with relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Information Technology Act.
After a thorough examination, the Maharashtra Cyber Department officials tracked down the digital fingerprint of the video and found Abhishek Jhadhav. The cyber police arrested Jadhav in January 2026. He confessed that he had created the fake video with Artificial Intelligence. The authorities revealed that Jadhav uploaded the video using an Instagram account called ‘dobiga.’

Abhishek Jhadhav, following his arrest, released a public video apology to Payal Gaming. He confessed to altering the video and spreading it via social media. Maharashtra Cyber Cell shared the confession with an apology to their channels in order to spread awareness of the legal implications of creating fakes.
