Tata Motors performed a crash test to demonstrate the structural strength of the car. The vehicle was subjected to a simulation head-on with a truck at 50km/h. In the test, four dummy passengers were used. The body structure was not damaged, and all four doorways were still operable. Bharat-NCAP has given the SUV a 5-star rating for its crash tests, setting new standards in safety.
The powertrain matrix is flexible enough to meet different driving requirements. All variants are available with the naturally aspirated engine. The top four models offer an automatic transmission option for those who prefer it. CNG is available in all trims. The AMT transmission option, however, only applies to the Pure+ and Adventure trims. Exclusively available with Adventure and Accomplished+S variants, the powerful iTurbo engines are a must-have. The price of the iTurbo top engine is not known yet.
The Tata Punch is a leading vehicle on Indian roads. This new update demonstrates Tata Motors’ commitment to evolve with the needs of customers.
