The mother can be seen at the very end of the clip trying to release her son. When Pradeep’s mom approached local authorities, the situation became more grave. Her mother claimed that not only had her daughter-in-law physically assaulted Pradeep, but she also accused her of threatening him with a pistol made in the country. She submitted to the police a photo purporting to show the husband holding an illegal firearm. The specific accusation added a criminal element to an incident that initially looked like a domestic conflict caught on video.
The mother spoke to the reporters and expressed her concern for the safety of her son. My son’s name is Pradeep. His wife beats him. She keeps threatening him with a gun. The pistol was nowhere to be found, despite my thorough search of the home. Soni is the name of her daughter-in-law, who lives in Rasulpur. “They’ve been married four years and have harassed us over the past two years,” said the mother. The mother also claimed that she had complained to representatives in the past, but that they did not respond. She expressed hope that viral evidence might finally lead to action.
Officials from the police have confirmed that they are investigating this viral issue. Tappal Police acknowledge the complaint and have called the wife to question her about the video that went viral, as well as the allegations made against the woman for firearms possession. The wife claims that her actions are in response to the alcoholism of her husband and his behavior. However, the authorities have examined all the evidence, including the photo of the weapon, to decide the best legal action.
