Sara Tendulkar Joins Hands with Tourism Australia to Attract 5 Lakh Indian Tourists

Tourism Australia announced its new partnership with Indian philanthropist and entrepreneur Sara Tendulkar to launch the “Come Say G’day” campaign. The collaboration is aimed at boosting Indian tourism in Australia. It aims to attract half a million visitors each year. This campaign coincides with an increase in the number of visitors and expenditure from India.
In a culturally tailored version of the campaign, Sara Tendulkar appears alongside Ruby, the Souvenir Kangaroo – Tourism Australia’s animated Brand Ambassador – in the campaign. The initiative highlights the importance of India to Australian tourism. Nishant Kashikar, the Country Manager of Tourism Australia for India and the Gulf, emphasized the momentum by stating India as one of Australia’s fastest-growing inbound markets.
In June, we reached 450,000 visitors for the entire year. Kashikar explained that this was an increase of almost 8% compared to the prior year. The upward trend shows that Indian tourists are increasingly interested in the experiences Australia has to offer.
Sara Tendulkar’s selection as brand ambassador represents a move in the direction of authentic and advocacy-driven marketing. Kashikar explained why Sara Tendulkar was chosen, citing her genuine attachment to Australia. He said that Sara Tendulkar has visited Australia since she was young, for the last two decades. As a result, he added, “she’s developed an emotional connection with Australia.” She is a credible and ideal voice for potential Indian tourists to hear the stories of Australia because she has a longstanding relationship with Australia. This highlights the excitement over the partnership with Sara Tendulkar as well as the appeal that Australia has for Indian families and youth travelers.
Sara Tendulkar’s “Come Say G’day!” campaign will be launched across multiple media platforms. It will showcase Australia’s beautiful landscapes, vibrant cityscapes, and unique wildlife in order to encourage more Indian tourists to visit the continent.
