Millions of internet users have been captivated by the Pinay Gold Medalist Viral Video controversy. It has now been proven that the viral picture of Zyan wearing a medal was created by AI. The forensic analysis performed by fact-checking groups revealed that the image was digitally manipulated. This included unnatural lighting and a smooth skin texture. Deepfake software such as DollAI was detected. This confirmed that the rivalry storyline had been fabricated to increase engagement and clicks.

Cybersecurity experts have confirmed that, despite widespread searches, no video of the Pinay Gold Medalist has been found. This scandal is part of a scam that uses sophisticated links to trick users into clicking them. These links often lead to malicious sites that steal user credentials, redirect users to gambling platforms, or install adware on infected apps. Ghost files are used by tricking unsuspecting internet users with specific timestamps, like 19:34.

Race Del Rosario, a Filipino lawyer, has warned against this new trend. Republic Act 9995 (also known as the Anti-Photo and Video Voyeurism Act of 2009) makes it a crime to download, share, or request private or scandalous videos. Del Rosario stressed that legal excuses such as curiosity or accidental viewing do not apply and could result in prosecution.

This Pinay Gold Medalist Viral Video scandal shows the dangers of combining AI, misinformation and cybercrime. Internet users who understand that the controversy has been fabricated and that these women are actual people whose identities were exploited can avoid legal troubles and cyber threats. The authorities urge people to stop seeking information about this hoax and to report any suspicious links or content that may contain deepfake material.
